At this service, Chef, his manager full of good humour, and his server attended to a total of three guests. A 1:1 ratio ensured a lot of attention, but also made it fun.
It was also a treat to try A5 from new prefectures to me. When I told Chef this, he high-fived his manager in delight. I think they knew I had some dining experience throughout Japan.
This was a seriously good meal with excellent preparations of the cuts.
The first question of the night came via google translate, "Would you like a double portion of chateaubriand, or would you like to wait to see if you are hungry?"
My immediate two thumbs up and smile set the tone and away we went. The bread on the sandwich is toasted in fat for extra decadence.
