Maybe Sammy is.... FUN!!! Bubble machine, bartender swaying, funky-ass glassware fun. Just the right amount immature. Just the right amount grown up.
I hate gimmicks. This is NOT a gimmick bar. It's so appealing on every level. The bartenders are engaging and inquisitive. The drinks show depth, balance, and, as you might expect, whimsy.
There's a lot of, "Hey, what are they dinking?" which induces conversation with your neighbours. Being in Australia, it would be insulting not to engage!
It's worth the queue to be dazzled while time (and those bubbles) float away.
